Job summary

Center for Youth Services seeks a CD Prevention Counselor to provide school-based crisis intervention, prevention counseling (individual, family and group) and case management for youth. Develop an Individual Service Plan and coordinate with school staff and community agencies.

Attend meetings, coordinate groups, workshops, and trainings as requested. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree with at least one year of counseling experience; a Master's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with minimum one year of counseling experience.
• Master's degree preferred (CPP/ICSP/CASAC or advanced training in chemical dependency prevention-related areas).

Responsibilities

• Intake and Assessment, Individual and Family Prevention Counseling, assessment of substance use/abuse and other risk factors.
• Crisis Intervention/Triage.
• Case Management.
• Agency Ambassador and Liaison at Referral Team Meetings and Open Houses.
• Youth Advocacy.
• Transportation for program participants as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
