Job summary

Northwestern Illinois Association (NIA) is hiring a Physical Therapist for the 2026-2027 school year. The role involves 180 days per year at 7.5 hours per day, with a salary range of $59,643.49–$105,573.66 depending on experience.

Illinois licensure/capability to practice in IL is required, and visa sponsorship is not available. Responsibilities include evaluating students, delivering direct therapy services, collaborating with school teams, maintaining records, and participating in IEP

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree from an accredited program in occupational therapy.
  • Illinois licensure or the ability to practice in Illinois as determined by the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation.
  • Proficiency with school-based technology and office equipment, including computers and specialized software applications like Microsoft and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct evaluations: assess students' motor, sensory, and functional abilities to identify needs and develop therapy plans.
  • Provide direct services: deliver therapy interventions in accordance with students' IEPs.
  • Collaborate with school teams: work with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to create supportive learning environments.
  • Maintain records: document assessments, progress notes, and reports in compliance with regulations.
  • Participate in IEP meetings: contribute to the development of IEPs with insights on motor development and accommodations.
