Job summary

Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Physical Therapist for a school-based, in-person position in Gastonia, NC. You will support students with mobility and function within the school setting.

Applicants must be a licensed PT in NC or eligible for NC licensure ASAP. Pediatric or school-based experience is preferred, with strong communication and collaboration skills. The role emphasizes teamwork with teachers, families, and other service providers.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in North Carolina or eligible to obtain NC licensure ASAP.
• Pediatric or school-based experience preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• School-based experience preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide school-based evaluations, direct treatment, and progress monitoring for students (pediatric caseload).
• Write and maintain IEPs, therapy plans, progress notes, and required documentation.
• Attend and contribute to IEP and multidisciplinary special education team meetings.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers to support student success.
