Job summary

Nyman Associates is seeking a School-Based Physical Therapist to support students in developing skills for academic success and daily independence. You will assess physical abilities, design individualized, evidence-based plans, and deliver targeted interventions in collaboration with school teams.

The role emphasizes working within school settings, aligning goals to IEPs, and providing ongoing documentation and progress updates to clinical leads and educators.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Master’s degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active licensure or eligibility for licensure as a PT in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain).
• Experience or interest in school-based/educational therapy setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide services to students with disabilities or injuries affecting school participation.
• Assess students' physical abilities to support access and engagement in education.
• Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with educational goals.
• Implement interventions to improve mobility and participation in school activities.
• Document therapy sessions and monitor progress over time.
• Collaborate with school teams to integrate therapy into IEP goals.
