Job summary

Lake Washington School District is seeking qualified Physical Therapist candidates for the 2026-2027 school year to support students with disabilities within our educational system.

Under the supervision of the Director of Special Services, you will assess students, provide direct therapy, collaborate with staff and families, and help implement IEP goals and related services across multiple buildings.

Qualifications

• Washington ESA certificate with PT endorsement required.
• Experience in school-based physical therapy preferred.
• Familiarity with IDEA/Section 504 in educational settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assess gross-motor function, ADLs, sensorimotor development, and mobility.
• Provide direct therapy and plan/implement treatment programs.
• Develop IEP goals and objectives with multidisciplinary team.
• Consult with teachers, staff, families, and medical providers.
• Identify equipment needs; assist fabrication/adaptation as needed.
• Maintain accurate progress records; communicate with physicians.
• Travel to district buildings as required.
• Supervise PT assistants and students as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with Medicaid rules and district policies.
