Job summary

Kid Clan Services, Inc. is seeking a dedicated School-Based Physical Therapist to support students in Newark, NJ.

The role emphasizes collaboration with educators, families, and specialists to implement individualized interventions that promote independence and academic participation. The successful candidate will assess student needs, develop treatment plans, provide direct therapy in classroom or clinic settings, and document progress in accordance with school and state requirements.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' skills.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, in collaboration with the IEP team and other stakeholders.
• Provide direct intervention services to students, including therapeutic activities, exercises, and adaptive equipment/training, both individually and in groups.
• Collaborate with teachers and other school personnel to integrate therapeutic strategies into the classroom and promote the generalization of skills across settings.
• Support students in developing skills necessary for successful participation in school activities.
• Monitor students' progress regularly, adjust intervention plans as needed, and communicate outcomes to relevant stakeholders.
• Provide consultation, education, and training to parents, teachers, and other professionals to enhance understanding and support of students' needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessment results, intervention plans, progress notes, and other required paperwork in compliance with legal and professional standards.
• Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Physical Therapist.

Salary: Independent Contractor rate of $85-95/hr commensurate with experience
