Job summary

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, maintaining environment, and monitoring health and psycho-social needs. A sign-on bonus is available, and the position pays $14.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 48 college credits or Para Ed. Certification OR becoming Para Ed. Certified within one year of hire.
• Pennsylvania State Police Clearance for employment.
• Child Abuse Clearance for employment.
• FBI Fingerprinting.
• School Health Form: Physical and Tuberculosis Test.
• Pennsylvania Department of Education Form 6004: Arrest/Conviction Report and Certification.
• Act 126/Mandated Reporter training.
• CPR, CPI, and First Aid Certified preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with self-sufficiency training and maintenance of skills for a child with physical disabilities.
• Assist student in managing and maintaining his/her environment to meet his/her special physical and psychological needs.
• Monitor health problems and psycho-social adjustments related to medical conditions.
• Support the teacher and prepare classroom environment to meet student needs.
• Attend training sessions and participate in requested in-services and meetings.

Education
