Job description

*Part-Time - 2 days/week - 4 hours per week*

ACDS Pelham is looking for a part-time licensed Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in pediatrics to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team! The SLP is responsible for the remediation of children with a wide range of disabilities/delays. These areas include: expressive and receptive language, pragmatics, articulation, phonology, and fluency. The SLP contributes goals to the Individual Educational Plan (IEP) and will work on these target objectives throughout the school year. The SLP will provide quality individual and group speech and language services in person while working at our center-based program (no traveling required).

Key responsibilities of the Speech Language Pathologist / Speech Therapist include:

· The SLP will provide and direct speech and language therapy services to students as per their IEP mandates.

· The SLP will develop treatment plans to achieve identified goals.

· The SLP will adhere to applicable principles and practices of speech and language pathology, ASHA policies/procedures, and state regulations.

· The SLP will work collaboratively with OTs, PTs, school psychologists and classroom staff as needed to provide positive treatment outcomes.

· The SLP will work effectively with parents, teaching staff and other professionals directly involved in the care and treatment of the child to develop and monitor IEP services

· The SLP will complete all necessary paperwork accurately and timely (e.g., daily session notes, quarterly progress reports, annual reviews, etc.).

· The SLP will participate in meetings and consultations with education staff and the multidisciplinary team concerning the needs of each child as related to his/her mandated services and progress updates

· The SLP will be responsible for determining necessity and/or implementation of any assistive technology needs and work with augmentative communication systems and devices such as PECS

· The SLP will comply with federal and state Speech and Language regulations.

*Qualifications:*

· Valid New York State Speech and Language Pathologist license

· CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology)

· TSHH or TSSLD certification required

· Must have experience working with children

· PROMPT skills are a plus

· Bilingual skills are a plus, but not required
