Job summary

Food Management Search, Inc. is seeking a School-Based Physical Therapist (Pediatric) to support Elmira City School District in Elmira, NY. This role focuses on pediatric therapy, enabling students to build strength, mobility, and independence within the school setting.

You'll evaluate students, develop treatment plans, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and deliver compassionate, age-appropriate care, with a stable schedule and meaningful impact on daily student life.

Qualifications

• Licensed (or eligible) as a Physical Therapist in New York State.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Hospital or acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate students, create individualized treatment plans, and deliver therapeutic interventions.
• Develop and implement treatment plans including therapeutic exercise and activity-based training.
• Teach proper use of mobility aids and adaptive equipment.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians and rehab team for coordinated care.
• Complete documentation such as evaluations and progress notes.
• Provide direction to rehab support staff.
