Job summary

Building Connections Behavioral Health, Inc. is seeking a School-Based Occupational Therapist to support students in Walnut Creek, Concord, and Martinez. The role is in-person, full or part-time, with hours typically 9:00 am–3:00 pm, serving children with autism and other developmental needs.

The OT will develop programs, deliver services per IEPs, and collaborate with families and school staff to promote functional skills in school and home settings.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active occupational therapy license.
• Must be registered with AOTA and/or NBCOT.
• Must have a valid California driver’s license.
• Ability to assess development and educational needs of children with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop Building Connections OT program.
• Provides occupational therapy services per IEP to students.
• Writes assessment reports and student goals; maintains progress records; participates in IEP meetings.
• Develops OT treatment plans aligned with educational goals.
• Participates in team and family meetings for program implementation.
• Demonstrates strategies to support home intervention of motor/sensory programs.
• Maintains knowledge of California SPED laws and policies.
• Administers OT programs with budget, space, and equipment considerations.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
