Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group, LLC is hiring School-Based Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time, W-2 position supports students with moderate to severe needs in K-12 general and special education settings, onsite.

Typical hours are school-day, 30 hours per week, with no evenings or overnights. You will provide 1:1 or 2:1 support, assist with ADLs, behavior support, and documentation, while collaborating with teachers and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience supporting students with moderate to severe needs.
• Experience in school-based settings.
• Ability to provide personal care including toileting and diapering.
• Ability to manage elopement and challenging behaviors safely.
• Reliable transportation.
• Authorization to work in the United States; English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 or 2:1 student support during the school day.
• Assist with self-care and ADLs including toileting, diapering, dressing, feeding.
• Provide mobility assistance as needed.
• Support behavioral interventions and safety procedures.
• Deliver general academic support and help with assignments.
• Assist student participation in classroom activities and transitions.
• Follow IEP accommodations and care plans.
• Monitor student safety and confidentiality.
• Collaborate with teachers and special education staff.
• Maintain documentation and protect student dignity.
