Job summary

Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is looking for a PCA to support K-12 students in a vibrant, positive school setting. The selected candidate will execute Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and communicate progress to staff and families.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support the Individualized Education Plans (IEP) for each student.
• Communicate student progress to staff and family.

• Assist the teacher with classroom management and academics.
• Maintain a safe and productive classroom environment.

Special Education Paraprofessional Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Experience working with K-12 children

Special Education Paraprofessional Responsibilities

• Execute support in servicing the Individualized Education Plans (IEP) for each of the students in your care
• Communicate with other staff and family members about each student's progress and struggles
• Use individualized reinforcement techniques to keep each student on the path toward greatness
• Support the classroom teacher in the areas of behavior reinforcement and academics
• Create a safe, productive classroom environment
