Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Experience working with K-12 children is essential.
• Strong communication skills with staff and families.

Responsibilities

• Execute support in servicing the IEPs for students.
• Communicate student progress with other staff and families.
• Use techniques to keep each student engaged.
• Support the teacher with behavior and academic reinforcement.
• Create a safe and productive classroom environment.

Special Education Paraprofessional Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Experience working with K-12 children

Special Education Paraprofessional Responsibilities

• Execute support in servicing the Individualized Education Plans (IEP) for each of the students in your care
• Communicate with other staff and family members about each student's progress and struggles
• Use individualized reinforcement techniques to keep each student on the path toward greatness
• Support the classroom teacher in the areas of behavior reinforcement and academics
• Create a safe, productive classroom environment
