Job summary

TAG MedStaffing is seeking a Field Supervisor (School-Based Paraprofessionals) in New York City to oversee paraprofessional operations across NYC schools. You will manage attendance, schedule coverage, observe classrooms, coach staff, and ensure service quality for students with IEPs.

The role emphasizes collaboration with school teams, adherence to IEPs and safety procedures, and proactive staff engagement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in school-based paraprofessional services, special education, student support, or school operations.
• Crisis intervention or de-escalation training preferred.
• Knowledge of IEPs, behavior intervention strategies, classroom support models, and school-based staffing practices.
• Proficiency with MS Office and digital attendance, scheduling, documentation, or SIS systems.
• Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and organizational skills; able to work independently in a field-based role; bilingual skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day paraprofessional attendance, punctuality, scheduling, and coverage across assigned NYC school locations.
• Conduct classroom observations, provide coaching, and address performance or conduct concerns with paraprofessional staff.
• Serve as primary school contact; coordinate communication regarding staffing, schedules, and classroom support.
• Monitor adherence to IEPs, behavior strategies, safety procedures, and professional standards.
• Maintain accurate attendance, observation, incident, training, and performance records using digital systems.
• Support school-based orientations, conduct regular employee check-ins, and identify opportunities to improve engagement and retention.
