EDUCATION:

Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology or Counseling from an accredited university required.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE:

Licensed by the State of Michigan in the areas of social work, psychology, or counseling (LLMSW, LMSW, TLLP, LLP, LLPC or LPC) required.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of two years’ experience providing therapy or counseling services to children and families is preferred. Experience with Shiawassee County agencies, resources, and school setting preferred.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Shiawassee Health & Wellness, an innovative Community Mental Health organization, is seeking a full-time School Based Outpatient Therapist that works with the School Wellness Program in the Durand School District. The School Based Outpatient Therapist will provide direct counseling services and psychosocial support to adolescents to address their social and emotional needs, including anxiety, depression, and relationship struggles. The mental health services provided within the school setting shall meet the current standards of practice for care and treatment of children and/or adolescents in the traditional outpatient therapy setting, including assessment, treatment plan development, and ongoing therapy services. The School Based Outpatient Therapist is a grant-funded position that partners with the Shiawassee Health Department.

RANGE OF PAY:

$49,401.44 - $63,233.86
