Job Juncture is assisting a school in Bronx, NY to hire an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) on a full-time, day-shift schedule.

The OTA will support the occupational therapist with patient assessments, implement treatment plans, teach adaptive equipment use, monitor progress and educate patients and caregivers on daily activities and home programs. NY licensure required; benefits include FSA, 401K, PTO, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assisting from an accredited program.
• New York state licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) required.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the occupational therapist in evaluating a patient's functional abilities and needs.
• Carrying out treatment plans designed by the occupational therapist, including exercises and activities.
• Teaching patients how to use assistive devices to enhance independence in daily tasks.
• Monitoring progress during sessions and reporting findings to the OT.
• Educating patients and caregivers on daily activities and home exercise programs.
