Job summary

Sigma Health Rehab is actively seeking a per diem Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA/COTA) to work in a Skilled Nursing Facility. The role supports therapy under supervision and aims to help residents regain independence and function.

New York licensed or NY-approved graduate of OTA program preferred. We offer mentorship, flexible schedules, weekly pay, and access to state-of-the-art technology as part of our rehabilitation team in Holliswood, NY.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited OTA Program.
• Current New York State OTA License.

Responsibilities

• Select therapy activities per the plan of care by the supervising OT.
• Assist residents in carrying out daily activities.
• Monitor residents' performance in therapy activities, provide encouragement and document progress.
• Teach residents how to use equipment to assist with daily function.
• Collaborate with the OT to establish a rehabilitation plan.
• Maintain a cooperative relationship among healthcare team members and contribute to team effort.

Education
