Job summary

Thrive Therapies is seeking a licensed occupational therapist to deliver school-based OT services to K–12 students in New York. You will focus on fine motor development, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation, while collaborating with teachers and specialists to support IEP goals.

You will conduct evaluations, write reports, and participate in eligibility determinations. The role emphasizes evidence-based practice and adaptive strategies to help students access education.

Qualifications

• Requires OT degree and licensure in good standing
• NBCOT certification (OTR) required
• Knowledge of IDEA, IEP processes, and educational OT model
• Experience with school-based OT preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive OT evaluations to determine educational need and eligibility
• Develop OT IEP goals targeting handwriting, fine motor, sensory regulation, and self-care
• Deliver direct therapy sessions (individual and small group) using OT frameworks
• Collaborate with SLPs/PTs/teachers on IEP teams and RTI/MTSS efforts
• Maintain accurate service logs and progress notes with Thrive’s AI tools
