Job summary

Helping Hand is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a full-time, on-site role in Illinois. You will evaluate students, develop individualized therapy plans, and deliver OT services within a therapeutic school setting during regular school hours (M-F, 40 hours weekly).

You will collaborate with teachers, behavior specialists, SLPs, PTs, and other team members to implement meaningful educational programming, participate in IEP meetings, and advance student goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• Current State of Illinois OT license (IDFPR).
• Experience with children ages 3–22 and with autism spectrum disorders.
• Ability to conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Experience delivering individual and group therapy in school settings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and assessments.
• Develop individualized therapy plans aligned with IEPs.
• Provide direct OT services in individual and group settings.
• Collaborate with teachers and other specialists to create educational programs.
• Participate in IEP meetings, domain meetings, and progress reviews.
• Create therapy materials and adaptive supports for student success.
• Provide consultation and training to classroom staff on sensory and functional skills.
