Job summary

Attleboro Public Schools Early Learning Center in Attleboro, MA is seeking a Long-Term Substitute Occupational Therapist to support Thacher (0.8) and ELC (0.2) assignments.

The role runs ASAP through November 2, 2026 (may extend) with a pay rate of $55.00 per hour. The position requires a Master’s in OT, Massachusetts OT license, and NBCOT certification, and involves collaboration with school teams to address diverse student needs.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy (Doctorate if required).
• Massachusetts State License as Occupational Therapist.
• Current NBCOT Certification in Occupational Therapy.

Responsibilities

• Addresses the needs of diverse learners in accordance with IDEA and Section 504.
• Supports all students in accordance with MTSS.
• Evaluates a student’s ability through functional, behavioral and standardized assessments and provides a written report.
• Participates in multidisciplinary meetings to review results and develops IEPs.
• Provides targeted, evidence-based therapeutic intervention to facilitate student participation and occupational performance within the school environment as outlined in the IEP.
• Adapts and modifies the environment and trains staff to meet individual needs for independence.
• Educates student, educational personnel, and family on skills in occupation and health maintenance.
• Collaborates with educational teams to achieve student outcomes.
• Collects and analyzes data to document services for accountability and Medicaid billing.
• Monitors and reassesses the effects of therapy and reports progress.
• Involvement at multiple levels for school-wide initiatives and post-high school transition planning.
• Uses literature and continuing education to ensure best practice and licensure compliance.
• Adheres to Ethics and standards of practice.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
