Job summary

Qualifications

• State Certification to practice as evidenced by current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• Initial certification by National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapy.
• Successful prior experience working as an Occupational Therapist in educational settings.

Responsibilities

• Develops and coordinates the school district's occupational therapy program.
• Screens and evaluates students for therapeutic intervention.
• Collaborates with staff to understand student needs and outcomes.
• Provides evidence-based therapeutic interventions.

Skills

Knowledge of occupational therapy theories

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Skill in selecting and providing intervention strategies

Ability to organize and coordinate work

Education

Bachelor's from an accredited college or university in related field

Graduation from an accredited program of occupational therapy recognized by NBCOT
