Job summary

CAIU is seeking an Occupational Therapist at the Enola, PA office to assess and address motor dysfunction in students within an educational setting. You will collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists to inform an individualized education plan and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7.5 hours/day, 190 days/year. A Master's degree and PA OT license are required, with Safe Crisis Management or equivalent certification as applicable.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree required.
• Valid PA Occupational Therapy License.
• Knowledge of special education practices related to OT.
• Certification in Safe Crisis Management (SCM), Safety Care, or equivalent restraint system as required by assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual evaluation for children with sensorimotor, self-help, and behavior needs using standardized and non-standardized tools.
• Participate in multidisciplinary evaluation/re-evaluation processes.
• Assist in developing goals, objectives, and recommendations for IEPs or other service plans.
• Provide direct OT services and consult with teachers, parents/guardians, and other professionals.
• Prepare reports and documentation in conformance with CAIU policies and regulations.
• Collaborate with CAIU physical therapists to deliver efficient, coordinated services.
• Identify equipment needs and assist in procurement and management of adaptive equipment.
• Design and adapt classroom equipment and devices as needed; modify seating and self-care devices.
