Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid Texas license as an occupational therapist (TBOTE)
• Six months experience as an occupational therapist
• Knowledge of rehabilitation procedures, activities, and equipment used in occupational therapy
• Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services aligned with IEP goals.
• Design, construct, and provide adaptive equipment to promote independence.
• Assess students to determine eligibility for services and monitor progress.
• Present staff development and conduct one-on-one consults with teachers/parents.
• Create learning-conducive environments and manage student behavior per code of conduct.
• Participate in ARD for data interpretation, placement, and goal setting.
• Develop and evaluate the occupational therapy program and implement improvements.
• Compile, maintain, and file required reports and records; comply with policies.
