Job summary

Applitrack seeks an Occupational Therapist for a part-time/contracted role to serve students across a district-wide setting. The therapist will plan and provide therapy aligned with IEP goals, assess progress, and design adaptive equipment to maximize independence.

The successful candidate holds a valid Texas license as an occupational therapist, can work with diverse student needs, and will collaborate with staff, parents, and administration to advance program goals.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of rehabilitation procedures, activities, and equipment used in occupational therapy.
• Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services per IEP goals.
• Design and provide adaptive equipment to promote independence.
• Assess students and determine eligibility for therapy services.
• Present staff development and consult with teachers, parents, and others on equipment use.
• Create a learning environment appropriate for students' needs.
• Coordinate ongoing evaluation of the therapy program and implement changes.
