Qualificações

• Licensed and currently registered by the New York State Education Department as an Occupational Therapist (REQUIRED)
• Thorough knowledge of the principles, techniques and practices of occupational therapy.
• Ability to design and carry out effective treatment plans.
• Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships.

Responsabilidades

• Performs occupational therapy procedures upon the written referral of a licensed physician.
• Provides consultative services to staff and parents on behalf of the student.
• Evaluates the degree of function and disability of students in the educational setting.
• Develops a treatment plan based on findings and educational goals.
• Maintains accurate records of evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Trains students in adaptive assistive devices and self-help techniques.
• Participates in formulation of individualized education plans.
• Communicates with physicians regarding student progress.
• Maintains statistics on treatments and patient numbers.
• Participates in research and development of new programs.
