Job summary

Newark Unified School District is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join the educational team and assess student performance, develop educationally grounded OT plans, and contribute to IEP meetings.

You will prepare assessment reports, create intervention plans based on educational needs, and maintain required documentation while providing staff development and consultative support to education personnel.

Qualifications

• Copy of transcript and degree verification.
• Letter of introduction.
• Three letters of recommendation within the last 12 months.
• Resume.
• Licensure with California Board of Occupational Therapy.
• Certificate of registration with AOTA.
• National Board Certification for Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).

Responsibilities

• Assess student performance and develop assessment reports.
• Develop goals and objectives for consideration in the IEP team meeting.
• Develop individual occupational therapy intervention plans based on educational needs.
• Maintain documentation and reports and provide staff development training and consultative support to education personnel.
