Job summary

AB Staffing Solutions seeks an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) for the 26/27 school year in Varnville, SC. The role is 37.5 hours weekly under an academic calendar contract, with compensation at $60 per hour and $2,250 weekly.

Qualified candidates hold a SC OT license (OTR/L), preferably a Master's degree, and experience identifying students with exceptional needs. Travel between buildings and BLS/CPR certification are required.

• Contract through 26/27 School Year – 37.5 hours per week.
• Contract follows the academic district calendar.

Salary:

• $60/Hourly.
• $2,250/weekly.

Occupational Therapist (OT) Requirements:

• Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, preferred.
• South Carolina Occupational Therapy license (OTR/L).
• Ability to uphold board policies and follow administrative procedures.
• Must have experience in identifying students with exceptional needs.
• Successful therapy experience in educational setting preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel between buildings.
• BLS/CPR Cert.

Occupational Therapist (OT) Duties:

• Evaluate patients by observing their movements, performing standardized tests, and listening to their concerns to establish an individualized plan of care.
• Competent care rendered to patients. Use exercises, stretching, equipment, modalities, and hands-on therapy to manage patients' pain, increase mobility, and prevent further pain and injury.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with patients and motivate them to reach their goals.
• Provide continuity of care by communicating pertinent patient information with the rehab team, physicians, and other disciplines as needed.
• Document all patient care in accordance with department policies.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; and adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
