Job summary

Leidos is hiring licensed behavioral health professionals to join our Military and Family Life Counselor (MFLC) Child and Youth Behavioral team to support Fort Bliss, TX.

This is a 9-month school calendar position that will reflect the school calendar that you would support. The role provides non-medical counseling, consultation, and outreach to faculty, staff, parents, children, and youth.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Behavioral Health Professions (MS/MSW/MA/PhD).
• Valid independent license in the mental health field from any US state or territory (LCSW, MHC, MFT, LPCC, Psychologist).
• U.S. citizen and ability to pass background checks/clearance.

Responsibilities

• Work at school populated by military youth and teens.
• Provide coaching, guidance, and support to staff and parents; model behavior management techniques.
• Offer presentations on social skills development and social-emotional learning.
• Promote creativity and positivity through approved materials.
• Build rapport with parents and families by attending installation events.
• Assist with transition adjustments to new school and home.
• Participate in regular in-service training and other contract activities.
• Communicate trends and issues at the installation to Team Leads.
