Job summary

Carrus Health, an outpatient mental health facility, seeks a licensed social worker to provide individual, group and family therapy, and conduct psychosocial assessments for admissions. The role requires an MSW/psychology degree, LMSW or LPC, BLS, and de-escalation training within 30 days of hire.

Strong English communication skills are essential. Two to five years of mental health social work experience and leadership capability are preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, counseling or psychology from an accredited college or university.
• 2–5 years of experience as a Social Worker in the mental health field is preferred.
• Leadership experience strongly preferred.
• Must be able to effectively communicate in English via verbal and written means.
• BLS certification is required upon hire.
• De-escalation training required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides individual psychotherapy and/or case management sessions on an as-needed basis.
• Provides group psychotherapy and psycho-educational groups per program schedule.
• Conducts family therapy sessions as needed throughout the patient's stay.
• Conducts prescreening assessments to ensure patients meet regulatory requirements for admission.
• Conducts community education activities (individual and community) as directed by the Hospital Administrator.
• Reports to work in a timely manner and adheres to policies, procedures, and processes.
• Performs other job duties as needed and/or as assigned.
