Northwest Alabama Mental Health Center is seeking a School Based Mental Health Therapist to counsel children and groups, develop and implement therapeutic plans, and provide family support within Walker County Schools, Alabama. The schedule is Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with a 5-day orientation in Marion County.

Requirements include a master’s degree in psychology, counseling, or social work with internship and at least 6 months of child/adolescent experience, a valid driver’s license,

Qualifications

• Master's degree in psychology, counseling, or social work with internship.
• At least 6 months of child/adolescent experience.
• On-site training could be considered.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Counsel individuals or groups.
• Develop and implement a therapeutic treatment plan.
• Provide family support and education.
• Work with children enrolled in counseling.
