Creative Pathways Inc. in Baltimore is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Clinician to serve students in Baltimore City/County middle and high schools.

This is a 40-hour on-site position with a minimum of 25 billable hours weekly; bilingual abilities are a plus. The therapist will provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and collaborate with the social services team to ensure comprehensive care.

Qualifications

• Masters in social work, counseling or psychology from an accredited program.
• Active Maryland license (LGSW, LGPC, LCSW-C or LCPC) to practice.
• At least one year of experience in mental health services.
• Experience with children/families preferred.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct mental health services to students and families, including assessment and therapy.
• Conducts intake/diagnostic assessment and develops individual treatment plans.
• Delivers individual, family and group therapy; crisis intervention as needed.
• Attends regularly scheduled staff meetings and provides consultation to school staff.
• Collects mental health outcomes data to monitor service effectiveness.
• Maintains at least 70% direct service delivery.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job description

SPECIFIC ROLES OF THE MENTAL HEALTH THERAPIST INCLUDE:

• Psychotherapy to individuals & Families
• Providing direct therapeutic counseling services to clients
• Collaborating with our social services team to deliver the best possible comprehensive care
• Establishing and maintaining empowering, trusting relationships with youth, adults and their families through individual, family, and group psychotherapy

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Therapist will be responsible for providing:

• Provides direct mental health services to include intake/diagnostic assessment, individual, family and group therapy,and crisis intervention as needed.
• Completes individualized treatment plan, treatment plan updates as well astimelydocumentationtosupport services rendered.
• Attends regularly scheduled staff meetings.
• Provides consultation and training for school staff regarding mental health issues of students (as required).
• Participates in the collection of mental health outcomes datato be used for monitoring the overall performance and effectiveness of services provided.
• Maintain 70% directservice requirement.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: Masters degree in social work, counseling or psychology from an accredited college or university and current license to practice (LGSW, LGPC, LCSW-C, LCPC) in Maryland and at least one year experience in the mental health field. Experience providing therapeutic services to children and families preferred. At least one year post-graduate experience preferred. $35-45 per session, depending relevant on experience.
