Job summary

Tykes & Teens in Florida is seeking a licensed mental health professional to provide school-based psychotherapy to children and their families. You will assess treatment needs, develop and review treatment plans, and determine discharge criteria in collaboration with school staff.

• Master’s degree in a relevant mental health field required.
• Florida driver's license is required or must obtain.
• Ability to work effectively in a team with school staff and families.

Our therapists provide psychotherapeutic interventions to children and their families, including assessing treatment needs, developing and reviewing treatment plans, and determining discharge criteria in a School-Based Setting. Therapists are responsible for completing and maintaining required intake forms, documentation, and discharge planning by specified dates, and maintaining outcome measures for the effectiveness of treatment.

Tykes & Teens is a CE-Broker supported organization and we provide over 12 hours of continued education per year in addition to weekly staffing to support your clinical growth. We also provide free clinical supervision toward licensure.

This is a Full-Time Position. Clients would be seen in a School-Based setting.

The experience you will bring:

• Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or another applicable human services degree
• Bilingual (English/Spanish/Haitian) is a plus, but not required
• A valid Florida driver’s license and auto liability insurance is required
• An ability to work in a team environment
• Licensed or Must Become a registered intern under Florida Statutes 490 or 491- and two years of experience in working with children and families

Licensed positions require:

An active and clear State of Florida License - LCSW, LMHC, LMFT. OR Must become a registered Intern with the state within 90 days of employment

The Pay Range Is Dependent Upon Qualifications And Experience.
