Job summary

The School-based Psychiatric Clinician I position at Northern Light Acadia Hospital is located in Deer Isle, Maine, working with RSU 76 Brooklin & Sedgwick Elementary Schools. It is a part-time role (32 hours over 4 days per week) from 7:30am to 4:00pm, with benefits eligibility.

The clinician provides behavioral health treatment, education, planning and consultation in schools, using evidence-based practices across evaluations, individual/group therapy, crisis intervention, IEP support and

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work or counseling required.
• Maine License as LMCW-CC, LCPC-C, or LCSW required.
• Must progress to full licensure within 1 year.
• Fingerprinting is required and must be paid upfront.
• Eligible for sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities

• Completes psychosocial evaluations to identify therapeutic targets.
• Develops initial treatment plans and updates with patient progress.
• Provides IEP counseling services as requested by districts.
• Participates in district meetings to support student needs.
• Delivers mental health trainings for school partners.
• Provides individual, group, and family therapy as needed.
• Maintains documentation reflecting patient involvement and outcomes.
• Maintains a safe environment per policy and licensing boards.
