Vancouver Public Schools - McLoughlin Middle School in Vancouver, WA seeks a Mental Health Clinician to provide school-based mental health services under a temporary grant spanning through 12/31/2027. The role includes crisis intervention, individual and group therapy, and collaboration with staff and families to support student well-being.

The position requires licensure (Washington Mental Health Counselor or Associate), a Master’s degree in a related field, and experience with diverse student

Qualificações

• Valid Washington Mental Health Counselor license or associate license strongly preferred.
• Master’s degree from an accredited university in psychology, counseling, social work or related field.
• Experience working with diverse groups of teachers, students and families.
• Experience conducting large-group presentations.
• Experience conducting both small group and individual therapy sessions.
• Experience maintaining data and records related to therapy services.
• Understanding of poverty, gang affiliation, childhood and adolescent mental health, DSM V, diagnosis and treatment, neglect and substance abuse.
• Ability to work with community agencies to obtain support and resources.
• Willingness to participate in professional development aligned with district initiatives.

Responsabilidades

• Provides crisis intervention and guidance services in school settings.
• Participation in individual behavioral planning, documentation and intervention as needed.
• Maintain data for analyzing student progress and program effectiveness.
• Work with families and teachers to develop positive school climate.
• Collaborate with diverse students and families and provide supportive services.

Formação académica

Washington Mental Health Counselor License or Associate License

Master’s Degree in psychology or counseling or social work

Experience with diverse groups (teachers, students, families)

Experience with large-group presentations

Experience with individual and small group therapy

Data/records management for therapy services

Understanding poverty, adolescent mental health, DSM V

Community agency collaboration
