Youth First, Inc. is seeking a School Mental Health Professional to collaborate with school staff, families, and community partners to provide prevention and early intervention services.

The role emphasizes trauma-informed practice, resiliency building, and evidence-based programs within a multi-tiered system of support. The position focuses on in-school prevention, family outreach, data documentation, and professional development for school personnel, with a full-time schedule and in-person

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work or a related mental health field from an accredited university.
• Indiana licensure in LSW/LCSW, LMFT/LMFT-A, LMHC/LMHC-A or LCPC/LPC.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement in school settings.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Cultural competency and collaboration with families and schools.

Responsibilities

• Provide prevention/mental health expertise at the school and advocate early intervention.
• Deliver indicated prevention services to identified students and families.
• Assess referred students and develop service plans.
• Chart progress and record data for program evaluation.
• Coordinate with school staff, families, and community resources.
• Lead small group sessions on emotion regulation and social skills.
• Deliver education presentations and monthly universal activities.
