Job summary

Clinica Family Health and Wellness is seeking a School Based Mental Health Specialist (SBMHS) to join a state initiative in collaboration with the Boulder Valley School District. The role focuses on data-informed consultation, education, and training to enhance mental health support for students, staff and families.

You will implement SEL programming, provide wellness and suicide prevention education, and connect students with resources and services in partnership with CFHW’s Child and Family

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology or a related field.
• 1+ years’ experience working within a school system and knowledge of or training in Evidence-based and Trauma Informed programs such as Sources of Strength, Youth Mental Health First Aide, Question Persuade Refer (QPR), Resiliency in Schools and Educators (RISE), or Restorative Justice Practices
• 1+ years’ experience with program implementation, research and data collection
• 1+ years’ experience collaborating with schools and school district personnel and community partners
• Travel to Clinica and school facilities

Responsibilities

• Provide data-informed consultation and collaboration, education, and training to the Boulder Valley School District to enhance mental health support for students, staff and families.
• Assist with implementation of social emotional learning (SEL) programming in schools and provide mental health education and workshops.
• Represent CFHW at interagency meetings supporting BVSD students and link students to mental health services.
• Work from on-site within BVSD schools and the district office and collaborate with CFHW Program Supervisor and school staff.
