Laurel Regional Program in Lynchburg, Virginia seeks a qualified Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant for a long-term substitute role. Under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, you will provide school-based PT services to students with disabilities in line with IEPs and PT plans.

Formación

• Current Virginia license as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of therapy and mobility assistance.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct physical therapy services as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Implement therapeutic activities to improve mobility and participation in school.
• Assist students with positioning, transfers, mobility, gait training, and use of adaptive equipment.
• Support the use of wheelchairs, walkers, standers, and other mobility equipment.
• Maintain documentation and collect data on student progress.
• Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, therapists, nurses, families and other team members.
• Provide staff support regarding positioning, transfers, and equipment use as directed.
• Follow professional, safety, confidentiality, and school procedures.
