Qualifications

• Must have a current Massachusetts license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Maintain CPR and First Aid certification from a recognized provider (e.g., American Heart Association).
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Provide general nursing care to students with disabilities in collaboration with special education and health care staff.
• Promote positive safety practices within and outside school buildings.
• Perform infection control and universal precautions per state guidelines.
• Administer medications and provide nursing procedures for students daily.
• Maintain comprehensive health records for assigned students.
• Support health concerns under the supervision of the building nurse and supervisor of nursing.
• Assist classroom teachers with IEP goals and activities as needed.
• Support student travel to and from school if required.
