Job summary

The Eugene School District 4J seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide school-based health services in a 1.0 FTE role on a 196-day schedule. Under RN supervision, you will administer medications, perform health screenings, and support student safety and wellbeing across classrooms.

Responsibilities include coordinating with health staff, documenting health records, and responding to emergencies with calm professionalism. Strong organizational skills and compassionate care are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, Oregon LPN license, and six months of clinical experience.
• Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle available for work.
• Current First Aid/CPR/AED and epinephrine/glucagon certificates or ability to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Under RN supervision, implement nursing care per established priorities and standards.
• Plan and oversee day-to-day routines with diabetic and other health issues, including insulin administration.
• Assist with health screenings and immunizations, and maintain health records.
• Provide basic emergency care and refer to RN as needed; administer meds per protocol.
• Maintain health information files and ensure timely attendance and coordination with staff.
