Maxim Healthcare is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to work one on one with a student in the school setting in or near the Smithfield, NC area. The position offers hourly pay and a comprehensive benefits package; responsibilities include providing nursing care for students with medical needs and may involve transportation to and from school.

Required licensure in state of practice, health certificate, PPD/Chest X-ray, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Current Health Certificate is required.
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
• One year LVN/LPN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for student(s) with medical needs (Trach, vent, G-tube feedings, seizure monitoring with rescue meds, diabetes care, personal care).
• May ride the bus to and from school with patient.
