Job summary

Qualifications

Active Washington State LPN license, or willingness to obtain one prior to assignment.
Open to traveling to various elementary campuses within the district during the school day.
Previous pediatric or school-based nursing experience is highly valued.
Comfortable with diabetes management and responding to routine or emergent student healthcare needs.
Must be fingerprinted through OSPI, or willing to complete this requirement.
Compassionate, adaptable, and team-oriented approach.
Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

Deliver daily medical care and monitor diabetic students health status.
Administer medication, perform glucose checks, and respond to medical emergencies as needed.
Collaborate with parents, educators, and fellow health professionals to craft and maintain individualized healthcare plans.
Maintain detailed health records in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
Educate students and staff as needed on diabetes management and preventive health practices.
Rotate between elementary schools to ensure continuous support across multiple sites.
