Grace Health in Kentucky seeks a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our School Based Health team. The role supports clinicians, handles front office duties, and helps coordinate patient care for students and staff across SBH sites.

The ideal candidate completed an accredited medical assistant program, communicates effectively, and is comfortable managing records, scheduling, immunizations, and basic patient education in a fast-paced school setting.

Qualificações

• Pleasant personality and cooperative attitude are essential.
• Completed a recognized medical assistant program and strong communication skills.
• Computer skills and teamwork within school-based health settings are required.

Responsabilidades

• Obtain and maintain records of parental consent, insurance information, and patient history for students and staff of School Based Health.
• Coordinate with school staff to screen and triage potential patients for SBH.
• Maintain safe, well-equipped clinical areas, inventory, ordering, stocking supplies, and report equipment issues.
• Perform front office duties: check-in, scheduling, insurance verification, and check-out.
• Schedule outpatient tests and referrals and obtain results for provider review.
• Assist with patient follow-up communications and participate in school events.
• Assist with examinations and procedures, preparing patients and literature for injections when needed.
• Maintain Universal Precautions and patient confidentiality; document in medical records.
