Job summary

Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is seeking a full-time Educational Diagnostician to identify learning needs and support educational planning for students. You will conduct psychoeducational assessments, review records, participate in eligibility meetings, help develop IEPs, and collaborate with teachers and families to ensure appropriate services are provided.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Educational Diagnosis, Special Education, School Psychology, or a related field.
  • Valid state Educational Diagnostician certification/licensure.
  • Knowledge of special education laws, evaluation procedures, and eligibility guidelines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Licensing assistance provided if not currently licensed in a state by PDS.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational and academic evaluations, review records, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and prepare evaluation reports.
  • Participate in eligibility meetings, assist with developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and work with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure students receive needed support.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN EDUCATIONAL DIAGNOSTICIAN
  • Master's degree in Educational Diagnosis, Special Education, School Psychology, or a related field
  • Valid state Educational Diagnostician certification/licensure
  • Knowledge of special education laws, evaluation procedures, and eligibility guidelines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN EDUCATIONAL DIAGNOSTICIAN

As an Educational Diagnostician, you will spend your day helping students reach their full academic potential by identifying their learning strengths and areas of need. Your expertise will play a vital role in determining eligibility for special education services and supporting individualized educational planning.

You will conduct comprehensive psychoeducational and academic evaluations, review educational records, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and prepare detailed evaluation reports. You will participate in eligibility meetings, assist with developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and work closely with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure students receive the support they need to succeed both in the classroom and beyond.
