Job summary

McLean Hospital is seeking a per diem psychologist to provide direct outpatient services and consultation in school and community partnerships. The role emphasizes evidence-based treatments such as CBT, DBT, and ACT for psychiatrically impaired adolescents, with an emphasis on DBT as a core expertise.

The psychologist will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, contribute to program development, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards while supporting families and education

Qualifications

• Doctoral-level psychology degree required (PsyD or PhD).
• Experience delivering outpatient therapy.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, and care teams.
• Maintain accurate documentation per HIPAA and standards.
• Educate patients and families about mental health options.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct outpatient therapy to patients using approved methods.
• Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop individualized plans.
• Deliver individual, group, and family therapy as needed.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans to improve outcomes.
• Coordinate referrals with care providers and participate in team meetings.
• Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and coping strategies.
• Assist in developing program materials and services.
