Job summary

Counseling In Schools (CIS) is seeking a School Based Counselor with a Master’s Degree in Creative Arts Therapy, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field. This full-time, in-person role serves Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens and the Bronx within the NYC metropolitan area.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Creative Arts Therapy, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or related field.
• Experience in school-based programs preferred.
• Experience in crisis intervention and de-escalation preferred.
• Experience in restorative practices is a plus.
• Strong professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organization and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based setting.
