Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a full-time, on-site school-based contract across multiple sites in Illinois. You will support students from Pre-K through age 22, collaborating with supervising OTs, teachers, and teams to meet IEP goals.

Ideal candidates hold an active COTA license (IDFPR) and ISBE educator license, with school experience and willingness to travel between sites.

Qualifications

• COTA license through IDFPR is required.
• ISBE Educator License is required.
• School-based experience is highly preferred.
• Ability to travel between multiple school sites.
• Fingerprinting and credentialing steps must be completed.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to a diverse caseload from early childhood to age 22.
• Collaborate with supervising OTs, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to meet IEP goals.
• Travel between multiple school sites within the district as an itinerant COTA.
• Implement treatment plans, document progress, and attend team meetings as needed.
• Support students' academic participation, social-emotional skills, and functional independence.
