Job summary

Effective School Solutions is seeking a Licensed School-Based Clinician (High School) to provide comprehensive mental health services in Union County, NJ. The role includes individual, group, and family therapy, plus intake and assessments in a school setting.

You will collaborate with families, school staff, and an interdisciplinary team to create tailored treatment plans, monitor progress, and ensure safety with crisis interventions when needed.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field.
• Active clinical license (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT) in the state where services are provided.
• 2+ years of experience working with children and/or adolescents.
• Experience working with schools, families, and community-based services (school-based experience preferred).
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in clinical documentation and use of electronic systems (e.g., EMR, Microsoft Office), with the ability to maintain accurate and timely records.

Responsibilities

• Provide school-based mental health services, including individual, group, and family therapy and assessments.
• Partner with families to deliver student care and facilitate parent support programming.
• Conduct risk assessments and crisis intervention, coordinating referrals to appropriate levels of care.
• Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans to support student outcomes.
• Collaborate with families, school staff, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated and student-centered care.
• Participate in team meetings, supervision, and ongoing professional development.
