Job summary

Community Mental Health Affiliates, Inc. (CMHA) seeks a full-time Clinician I for its school-based program in Waterbury, CT.

The role collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to deliver outpatient services for children and adolescents in a structured setting. The clinician conducts intake assessments, provides evidence-based individual and family therapy, and maintains timely documentation while engaging families and schools to support treatment goals.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in behavioral health (psychology, social work, counseling, MFT, addiction counseling).
• Associates license (MFTA, PCA, LMSW) required; eligible for LCSW/LMFT/LPC.

Responsibilities

• Maintains trainings and certifications as required by program model.
• Completes documentation within designated timeframes.
• Performs comprehensive intake assessments and diagnoses.
• Develops clinical formulations and treatment plans.
• Provides individual, family and/or group treatment using evidence-based practices.
• Collaborates with other providers and maintains timely information sharing.
• Responds to crisis situations and triages appropriately.
• Provides referrals to community and internal resources.
• Ensures reimbursement with accurate documentation.
• Adheres to state, federal, and Joint Commission regulations.
