Qualifications

• Licensure by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board as LMSW, LMLP, LMFT, LPC, LSCSW, LCP, LCPC, or LCMFT needed by first day of employment.
• Two semesters of master-level practicum experience in a clinical setting providing assessment and therapy services required.
• Preferred: Post-master’s clinical experience with Kansas community-based mental health care systems.

The Guidance Center (TGC) is currently seeking a School-Based Clinician to join our innovative interdisciplinary team. This position is based at Leavenworth County School District. TGC is a Community Mental Health Center serving Leavenworth, Atchison, and Jefferson counties in Kansas. • Salary range $68,149-$73,149, based on licensure and experience
• TGC qualifies for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF)

Primary Duties for School-Based Clinician:

• Conduct intake assessments and develop initial treatment plans
• Provide psychotherapy (individual, family, and group) and ongoing treatment planning
• Make referrals to TGC outpatient services, including medication management, case management, and attendant care
• During summer, continue psychotherapy and treatment planning at the Leavenworth County outpatient office
• Provide daytime crisis services as needed
• Offer after-hours and weekend crisis and screening services on a rotating basis with other clinicians

Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Licensure:

Master’s degree in Social Work, Clinical Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or Professional Counseling, with licensure by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board as an LMSW, LMLP, LMFT, LPC, LSCSW, LCP, LCPC, or LCMFT by the first day of employment.

Experience:

Required: Two semesters of master-level practicum experience in a clinical setting providing assessment and therapy services. Preferred: Post-master’s clinical experience and familiarity with Kansas community-based mental health care systems and evidence-based practices.
