Job summary

Preventive-Measures is seeking a School-Based Clinical Therapist in Washington, DC to provide diagnostic assessments, counseling, supportive services and case management to students and families, with a caseload of children aged 8-17. • Provides mental health services and programs that foster pro-social skills and appropriate behavior
• Identifies the mental health and behavioral needs of students
• Develops and implements treatment plans
• Conducts clinical interviews, assessments, observations, and writes clinical reports
• Provides individual, group, and family therapy services either in the school or in the home
• Reviews referrals of students who need intensive mental health services
• Makes recommendations for behavioral health therapy services
• Provides support in the development of behavior support plans
• Maintains and facilitates communication with families and school personnel.

Salary Range: $60.00 To $75.00 Hourly

Summary: The School Based Mental Health Therapist is responsible for providing diagnostic assessments, counseling, supportive services and case management to students and families; The therapist will maintain a caseload that includes children/adolescents ages 8-17, or a combination of both in the designated School.
